Lee Tamahori, best known for directing such films as Die Another Day and xXx: State of the Union, has passed away at the age of 75. The filmmaker was born on June 17, 1950, in New Zealand. Before becoming a director, Tamahori started out in the entertainment industry as a boom operator before working his way up the ladder to an assistant director position. He made commercials via his production company, Flying Fish, and then went on to become a successful director.
